“Reverse Motion” by Anna Schapiro

The exhibition was accompanied by a site-specific artistic commentary by Anna Schapiro.

Schapiro, a Berlin based artist, explored the layers of histories encapsulated in the objects presented at the exhibition, the cumulative stories they conveyed and the way these invisible and neglected pasts still weave themselves into the present. Her guiding motif was the story of a tapestry included in the exhibition. In this work, Schapiro interfered with the exhibition space by creating new layers of spatial plasticity printed on to the walls of OP ENHEIM.
