Business correspondence (postcards) of Herz family from 1907 -1913
OP ENHEIM, Wrocław, Poland
Ludwig Herz, and later his son Walter, did not limit their commercial affairs to the shoe store – they expanded their business worldwide. These trade connections are evident in numerous postcards containing orders for shoes from customers and dealers not only from Europe, but also the Americas, Asia, and German colonies in Africa. Many of the postcards were addressed simply with “Herz, Breslau, Germany” or “Herz, boots, Germany.” Despite the absence of an address, they still reached their destination.
